Metro Manila Rotarian Leaders conduct Medical and Dental Mission Outreach in San Jose
The Association of Leaders Presidents ( ALPS) of District 3810, composed of various presidents of Rotary Clubs in Metro Manila conducted a whole day Medical and Dental Mission Outreach in San Jose, Camarines Sur last September 22, 2008 in coordination with the Local Government of San Jose through the Hon Mayor Maymay Pacamarra and with the participation of the Philippine Army Dental Group.
The huma-nitarian group has brought with them 1.5 million pesos worth of various medicines and has accomodated more or less one thousand indigents in San Jose, specially 4-11 year old children who were given free booster vaccines and a lot more to the general public in branded medicines for various sicknesses.
Likewise, as Catholics, the visitors “ hit two birds with one stone” because while paying pilgrimage to the Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, they conducted the mission.
Atty. Jovie Barte, the group coordinator of the Rotarians coordinated with Mayor Maymay Pacamarra, his former seminarian classmate to choose San Jose as recipient of the activity.
