JUDGES. The Camarines Sur Trial Judges attended the 15th National Convention/Seminar on November 27-29, 2008 at the Seraph Hotel, Boracay Island. On the first row (L-R) are Judges Jose Ventajar, Renato Marpuri, Elsa Mampo, Maria Carmela Mendiola, Sarina Rosa Co, Juan Antonio Cereno, and Ramon Efondo. On the second row (L-R) are Judges Bernhard Beltran, Ricky Begino, Manuel Contreras, Orlando Martizano, Crescencio Cortes, Angel Tadeo, Laurencio Puto and Jorge John Aganan. For this year the Philippine Trial Judges League Inc. came up with the theme: “Judicial Activism Towards Protecting the Weak while Staying Faithful to the Rule of Law”. Story on Page 9

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. In search of peace, thousands of Albayanos from all walks of life join the Army's peace rally in Ligao City. They called on the communist guerillas to stop massive extortion, recruitment of minors and burning of Globe cell sites in Bicol which they claimed hinder the region’s growth, stability and progress.

BAZAAR. A three-day pre-Xmas bazaar was formally opened at Plaza Quezon by Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo and Vice Mayor Gabby Bordado. The trade fair was put up by the city’s barangay women organizations that featured one ‘Barangay One Product’ novelty items.
